Optometry Training Program

(A) FELLOWSHIP in OPTOMETRY

The C L Gupta Eye Institute offers 15 months Optometry fellowship to candidates with a B.Optometry and a two-year fellowship to candidates with a Diploma in Optometry degree. During the course of the fellowship, fellows are posted at the comprehensive and sub-specialty departments.

Eligibility: Completed Bachelor in Optometry from a UGC recognized institute on a regular mode.
Duration: 15 months
Fee: 80,000/- INR
Admission: Applications will be filled online through google form link, after the notification appears on institute website.

(B) INTERNSHIP in OPTOMETRY

The C L Gupta School of Optometry at CLGEI offers a limited number of internship seats to students who have completed the first three years of their under graduate Optometry course from other colleges.

Eligibility: Completed first three years of Bachelor in Optometry

Duration: 12 months .

Fee: Rs.75000/- INR.

Fee: $2000 for International candidate (lodging included)

(B.1)Post Graduate – Internship Program in Optometry

The CLGEI offers a limited number of Post Graduate – Internship Program in Optometry, for optometry PG students who have completed the first 18 months of M.Optometry program from their colleges/University.  Eligibility: Completed 18 months of M. Optometry program and No Objection Letter (NOC) from college/University.
Duration: 6 months .
Fee: Rs.30, 000/- [Thirty Thousand Indian Rupees] (For Indian Candidates).
Admission: Interested applicants required to send their CV with a cover letter mentioning their interest for pursuing PG – Internship program at CLGEI on email id: optometryedu@clgei.org
The important dates: Applicants can apply throughout year. Admission based on Personal Interview.

(C) SHORT TERM OPTOMETRY FELLOWSHIP

Presently CLGEI offers short term Optometry fellowship in following departments.

Pediatric Optometry and Binocular Vision

Contact Lens and Anterior Segment

Ophthalmic Diagnostic Low Vision and Rehabilitation

Eligibility: Completed either Bachelor in Optometry/ Diploma in Optometry

Duration: 3 months

Fee: 40,000 INR.

Admission: Interested candidates can send applications to Education Department of CLGEI. These programs are available on quarterly basis throughout of year.

(D) TRAINING AND HAND’s ON

LOW VISION AIDS

Eligibility: Completed either Bachelor in Optometry/ Diploma in Optometry

Duration: 01 months.

Fee: 15,000 INR/ Sponsored

Admission: Interested candidates can send applications to Education Department of CLGEI.

OPTICAL DISPENSING

Eligibility: Completed 10+2 with Science/Commerce/Arts

Duration: 03 months & 6Months.

Fee (3 Months): 30,000 INR

Fee (6 Months): 50,000 INR

Admission: Interested candidates can send applications to Education Department of CLGEI. Admission given on quarterly basis throughout year.
